Buying songs from the cellphone?

I just got a new LG cingular phone and the ringtones suck. If i go shop for a ringtone, how much does it cost? I heard it charges per kb and while your just searching for a song. Anybody know from experience approximately how much one ringtone would cost? And what about display pictures too?

The ringtone itself will be $2.50 and if no internet package on the phone you’ll be charged $.01 per kb.
My suggestion is to know exactly what song you want and search for it (the less pages you have to load the better). So all together it shouldn’t cost more than $3 (at most) for a ringtone.

Gaphics cost about $1.99 and do the same for searching for them.

A way to kinda cheat is to go on cingular.com and preview songs and graphics then purchase them from your cell (or from the web site)

FYI: you can sign up for the media basic package for $9.99 a month and get 400 text and/or picture messages and 1 mb (10024kb) of internet. The first month is unlimited. (use it for your ringtones and graphics then ditch it)
