Download Ringtones Midi Files

Where can I download a free editing program for simple audio files (MIDI)?

I downloaded a bunch of free MIDI ringtones… which I like… but most of them are 2-3 mins which are ok for calls but I’d like to cut them to use as text tones. I looked into Quicktime, which is on my computer already, but in order to use the Edit feature you need to buy the $30 full version. Anyone know where I can get a similar program free?
Audacity does nothing for Midi files. I spent like an hour trying and nothign. Maybe I’m doing it wrong but theres no instructions to tell me otherwise anyway.

You might try Anvil Studio. The free version lets you work with MIDI files and should be fine for ring tones. Google for it.
