The Verizon Droid Phone!?

I just got the phone and i found TONS of awesome apps/games/ringtones/backgrounds that are all free. I was just wondering if anyone else had found some pretty cool useful apps that i might use often. Not really that I can use but maybe just something they found pretty cool about the free downloadable content. Thanks!

Well if you have the Moto Droid I would check out the Car Home app already on the phone. Really nice. Otherwise. Google maps and things google all seem to work very well for me and I am quite impressed. Especially good to have My tracks. Its a free navagator like gps. If you have car home though there is no need to download the my tracks because it is already in the Car home. Found it works almost as good as my Garmin Nuvi just doesnt tell the speed you are going. Games wise I find that I like BitBlocks Free. It is like tetris and I find it to be quite enjoyable. A few other games include Frozen Bubble and Solitaire. Mobilo Ringtones has a nice selection of ringtones for free. If you are wanting virus protection then I would go for one called lookout. I have tried a few and it is by far the best. You set up a free account which you can do through your phone and also access online. Along with anti-virus protection, it has data back up, and a program to help you find ur phone if it is missing. Very convenient. If u want another camera program for your phone that has cool effects then FxCamera is a good program. Programs like ShopSavvy, Barcode and TagReader are interesting but useless if you don’t plan to use them for anything. I use them for things around the house just for fun. Slacker radio is personally my favorite radio thats free. I loved it previously on my blackberry pearl and it is even better for my motodroid. I’m not sure what it is but someone on a comment in the Android Market said something about free (paid) apps at some website called www.android-apps.webs.com. I’m not really sure what it is but you can check it out if you want. Doesn’t really make much sense to me. But just thought I would help you out and answer your question. Good luck with ur Droid.
