Downloading Ringtones Droid Eris

how can i save ringtones to my droid eris?

i just got my droid eris so i’m not sure how it works yet. but i download a ringtone i made from myxer.com, it sent to my phone but after that i’m clueless. i don’t know how to save it as a ringtone. it keeps going to a playlist. what do i do??
also someone told me you can make ringtones out of the songs you have on your playlist on your cellphone (droid eris). is that possible? if so can someone please tell me how i can do that too
