Iphone Ringtones Jailbreak

my ipod touch thinks its an iphone?

after attempting to jailbreak my ipod touch 1st gen, i plugged it into my computer and itunes is now registering it as an iphone. It connects fine and everything, but now it has a tab for ringtones and it says “your iphone software is up to date”.
the jailbreak didnt go successfully because it got stuck on rebooting, so i had to restore it, and now it thinks its an iphone. why is this happening?
okay so i synced my ipod and now it is registered on itunes as an ipod touch again. should i still use quickpwn again or is it too risky?

Your ipod does not “think” that it is a iphone. Take it back to the store from whence it came.
