Question about returning T-mobile cell phone?

I just bought a sidekick LX through T-mobile on October 24. I got home and everything was fine. I have been using it for almost a week and realized that this phone is not the one I wanted. I think it is not fully capable of doing different things, like downloading ringtones, or personalizing backgrounds. It does not have a calculator or alarm.
May I return the Sidekick LX to get a Blackberry 8830? I do not want to cancel my contract, just change the phone. I realized that the Blackberry 8830 is more better than the Sidekick LX. Am i able to do so, only 8 days have passed from purchase.
Will there be extra charges?

But if you feel u still want to return it It depends on the store u bought it from return policy. If they are 14 days then you’re good but it they allow 7days they you may still be able to get a full refund if everything is in working condition. If yu get the full refund you can put the money toward the BlackBerry.
