Ringtones Free Verizon Samsung

How do I get free ringtones w/o WAP for Samsung A650 using usb cable?

I have a Samsung A650, w/o WAP, but I have a usb cable. Bitpim will back up the phonebook, but won’t allow transfer of pics/tones. I’ve tried GAGIN, PCLink, Samsung PC Studio 3, Audacity, etc, nothing will transfer to my phone, some won’t even recognize it’s plugged in! What I really want to know is a good (reliable) way to send pics/tones to my phone through my laptop, back and forth. I don’t know if the Verizon providers have locked it or if I’m even using the right driver… it was a pain to find the one I’m using now! I just think it’s ridiculous to have internet on a phone I use maybe… twice a day, that’s what a $1,500 laptop is for Any advice would be helpful.

Yeah, Verizon blocks it, so they can make money from ring tones etc, you have to buy their software.
