HELP! does ANY body know how to import songs from my laptop to a sidekick 3?

I have been trying relentlessly to figure this out! and NOTHING is working. I am trying to import some songs from my laptop onto my sidekick 3 and the only place it is going to is the music player and the problem is you can’t use any of those songs for a ringtones on the phone or to personalize ringtones for your contacts. PLEASE HELP there has to be another way instead of BUYING them and spending $3 a ringtone through TMOBILE
