Set Ringtones Palm Pre

Palm Pre Help!! PLEASE!!?

So ive had my palm pre for a little over 3 weeks now & i love it! But the only thing I hate is that the ringtone for my text messages only play for about a second or 2 when i receive a text. Ive set the same ringtones to play when someone calls me & it plays the full ringer. But like I said it doesnt matter what ringtone i use for my text messages it only plays a second or 2 of it & its really starting to aggravate me! Ive looked online & people have said to add a few seconds of silence to the end of the ringtone & that should fix it but it doesnt! & I also changed the settings on my screen so it wouldnt dim as fast becuz i heard that that might fix it but..nope it didnt do anything! Ugh its soo irritating! Someone please help!
