Sharing Ringtones Through Bluetooth

Does verizon wireless allow “homemade” ring tones?

My friends who have cingular and tmobile can make their own ringtones and they can share them with eachother through bluetooth. But I noticed that my phone, as well as my other friends who have verizon cant do that stuff. Anyone know more about this? I hate paying for ringtones when everyone else can get theirs for free! uggh!!

Yes, go to Myxertones.com.
Make an account, its free. If you have unlimited texting then you don’t have to worry. If you dont, then you would have to pay the cost of a picture message being sent to your phone, which still isn’t that much.

A little history:
Verizon is being a total d-bag to Myxer tones by complicating the whole process. Myxer tones used to be able to send the ring tone straight to your phone but Verizon has done something to stop this. Now you have to download the song to your computer and then attach it to an email then finally send it to your phone. Every so often Myxer tones has to find a new way to send the tones to your phone because of Verizon. I’m almost sure that Verizon is trying to find a way to shut down Myxer tones legally just to increase their profits through V Cast Music.

Many people have called in and asked Verizon why they are doing this but they just come back with “I’m sorry, the problem lies within Myxer Tones, not Verizon.” Even though every other free ring tones site is encountering the same problem.
